1985 3Rensho

Any ideas on the value of this 3rensho?
At some point in its life it was repainted and in 2006 it was converted to fixed gear. However,
the original Dura-Ace parts have remained with the bike including the original ARAYA wheels with Dura Ace hubs. The serial #is A719 5X5 and the seller has told me that it is from 1985.
Thanks for any help!
-Brian

You sure about the 5X5 in the serial? Those last three digits are supposed to indicate the frame size and should not have an alpha character in them. Maybe 585?

That rolls also appears to be a limited edition UCI World Championship edition. Almost looks like the 86 edition that I just recently added to VeloBase.com, however I suspect 86 wasn't the only year that they were made.

I'm not that expert on the nuances, but with that "unicrown" fork and other details, I wonder if it's just a bit later...I'd like to see more close-up pics of the detail areas. The color seems like something right in the San Rensho family, so kudos to whoever picked it. What's the rear spacing?

I think I can tell you exactly what it is as I have the same type frame in the same color. While OP's frame is repainted, it is a correct original color. Following info was related to me by Andrew of Yellow Jersey. It is an early Super Record Aero which replaced the Super Record. Distinguishing features are the fork, Campagnolo ends, and if you look close on the down tube, you will see the nub on which the aero mount shift levers were mounted. Fastback aero seat stays and there should be a plate behind the BB to stiffen the chainstays. Based on what Andrew told me, this frame was produced in 85. I owned A658 and own A574

CLARIFICATION: I did not contact Andrew about this frame, but when I bought my first 3Rensho, several years ago. The info I shared is what he gave me.

Haha, I figured that I wasn't the only one since I only found out about it through these forums. $1500 would be a little out of my price range but it seemed strange to me that the price had been hovering around $300 (currently at $400 with one day left). Perhaps this only seems strange to me due to inexperience with the bikes section of ebay, but in the event the price doesn't breach $1000, I didn't want to hesitate to bid, thinking that it might be "too good to be true" and perhaps a forgery or possessing a flaw that goes unseen to the newbie.

With regards to the serial number, that is merely what the seller posted. He said that it was hard to make out, so he may be mistaken.

Thanks for the help!
