Victoria Vicky Single Speed (German) English Bike

I've got a chance to purchase a Victoria Werkes "Vicky" bicycle, but cannot find anything online about it. I think it's from the late 1950s, but might be from the 60's. I'll get photos tomorrow, so this might help visualize this classic. It's in the tradition of an English 3-speed, but it's made in Germany. Cottered cranks, Weinemann side pull brake in front and pedal hub brake for the rear. Generator light, fenders, spoke lock on rear chain stay, leather saddle (not Brooks), leather saddle bag. Any ideas on this? Thanks folks.

When you get to that era of bikes, it's really hard to tell valuation for a few (good) reasons:

a. A lot of these bikes are seen as collectibles and not riders, thus they worth more
b. Condition is probably the single most important factor of their value (like with any collectible)
c. there is occasionally friction between a seller, who things that a "collectible grade" bike in poor/good condition (see: rust) is worth more than 10% of what one in a showroom condition (no rust, bike shines, recent professional service) is worth and a buyer who thinks that is cool to use a bike like this with patina for a daily rider.

I think the bottom line with these guys is that it is worth exactly how much you want to spend for it... Not many of them, and not many of them moving to establish a value.

Type in " victoria fahrrad GMBH " in your search engine. May have to have some translations, but plenty of info.

Great advice EjustE - I hadn't considered the fact that it takes quite a few of any one model/year with consistent condition issues to establish a value, otherwise there's no real basis for worth. I think this separates "Rare" from "Obscure." The former being that one classic that everyone wants but can't find, and the latter being one that's so rare it hasn't become sought after. . .yet. I'll post photos into this thread this weekend. May even purchase it today if I can get what I want for it. Thanks again.
