Cannondale SR900 1986 Campy Record

Hi all. Just trying to determine a rough value for my vintage SR900. Serial number says its an '86, and its pretty much original except for normal stuff like tires, brake pads, chain, etc. Original Campy Record groupo, and its what I would say is very close to mint condition.

I cmart2010 welcome to the forums, do you have any pics? I am no Cdale expert but I don't recall if they used a SRXXX model number/name as early as '86 also I never recall hearing of a factory Campi bike until about '91 or so but I could be wrong. was this somethign custom built?

Because it's all original, there is some value depending on the condition of the bike and the area you live in. Around here, I'd try as high as $400, if it's in pristine condition and you get the right buyer. For a resonably quick sale, think more like $250/$300. Your looking for a particular buyer, someone who collects or wants that bike because they remember it and want it. For the average cyclist, if they were spending anywhere north of $300 they want brifters and don't care about Campy this or that.
BTW, that's a nice bike, probably fairly rare and I like that red color.

Ouch.
need picks, but if this bike has a full Record group, stripped and sold piece by piece is worth at least twice as much

+1 Its like that around here as well. Cross the $300 mark and the buyers want brifters. ebay may work out better, or parting it out.
