Anyone familiar with a SPARTAN bicycle?
Hi, I recently purchased a 10 speed bike from a yard sale figuring it would be a good extra bike ( I live near the beach and I can't always lug out the mountain bike). It is in really great shape (just a few minor paint chips). The previous owner said they think they got it back in the late 70's early 80's? Anyway, after getting it home I looked up the bike to see if I could get accessories for it or spare parts for the future but I can't find it anywhere...so now I don't know if this bike is actually named Spartan or if that is just a label that got put on it? It also says Falcon on the handlebars but I didn't find that either. I just want to know more about the bike (or how I can find out more about it), how I can get parts and if $15.00 was too much to pay for it ? Thanks!

Really need some pictures of this. You might have a gem.

Here is what I have for a picture (I am having troubles with my camera...I have more in the camera but can't get them to upload)...the front of the handle bars say Falcon. I just looked again and the sprocket/brakes say Falcon too.

False alarm: 70's bike boom era bike (probably Japanese) with an upright bar conversion. Would be practical to get you around town and looks like in a very good shape. $15 well spent!

+1 Low end bike boom bike. Looks to be in nice shape. Ride it and enjoy!!
Parts are nothing special. Lots of parts from that era on ebay or find a donor bike. |
Hello do you still have the Spartan? If so would you be interested in selling it?
