Orly Tour De France
Orly Tour De France
Greetings Everyone!
Recently I picked up a pair of road bikes from a lady who said she thinks they have been garaged since the late 1960's or early 70's. She says her father was in the Air Force and purchased them in France years ago when she was a teen. So I am trying to figure out more about them, how old they are and how much they are worth, but when searching about "Orly" brand on the internet not much is coming up about the bikes?
I found an article saying Orly was made by Motobecane? So I am trying to figure out more about them so I know this must be a good place to start.
Here is what I can make out of the markings on the bike, having a hard time finding the serial
Orly
Tour de France
10 speed
Huret shifters and derailleurs
Atax wing nuts
Rigda 27xi 1/4 hubs

I think you have about all the info there is: it's a "B" line from Motobecane, and I'm sure a gas-pipe bike-boom model, so early-mid '70s is about right. Might have some French charm, but not a lot of value, otherwise.
