OK deal, not a steal. For $250, worth a new saddle, tires, tubes.

I think that's overpriced but good Dr. Cannondale is the Cannondale expert.

Also, I don't think there's any way in h-e-double toothpicks that's a 57cm frame. I would guess more a 52cm. I don't think you could have that short a headtube on a 57cm frame unless it was a funny/pursuit bike.

Doc, whaddayouthink about the size?

I think they measured it wrong. I thought Cdales came in even numbers anyway.

Shimano Blaze brakes?

this looks interesting but overpriced as well same seller

Looks about like a 56 to me. Two fat tubes with a fair amount of space in between.

Maybe 54. I'm pretty sure 52cm 'dales from back then had the top and down tube touching each other at the headtube.

Guy claims he is a bike shop: "Dallas Cycling Online". Do you notice he just overlooked putting the age of the bike in his listing? It would have taken him 15 seconds to look up the age of the bike. Lots of good online info on Cannondales. Just an easy oversight, right? Well, the bike is 16 years old. Someone who sells a lot of bikes on ebay should be listing the age on them.

Bike only sold for $600 new...

Over priced, but still if you like it, it's not a bad bike.

Let's see, $320 plus $65 shipping for a total of $385. For that kind of scratch you can get a brifter Cannondale off of CL. A downtube shifter bike takes a serious value hit compared to a brifter bike. I'd say that bike is worth about $250 like rccardr said. By the time you add shipping, I'm not sure it's worth it. At $385, no way.

Guy is a bike shop you don't want to be in... He lists the components as "Shimano (sic) Blaze".

This is an $150 bike.

I didn't even bother to pay attention to the sizing. Definitely not a 57, probably a 52 or 54. 48's merge the top tube and downtube at the headtube, 50's lay the top tube without a merge, 52's and 54's give you some daylight in between them. Hard to tell exactly with the photos.

Plus a "bike shop" that does not know how to measure frame size. I would avoid him.

Must be a 54 c-t and seller measured to top of seatclamp collar, which a couple of bike manu's have done, but not a good general practice.

Really hard to tell, though, since all pics are taken looking down on the bike. That tends to shorten things in that perspective.

As far as I know, there are NO bike shops in Little Elm which is a few miles from me. I think this might be an overambitious CL flipper.
Also note he states the bike is 57cm Center to TOP figure its a 56 at best.

I believe this bike I had earlier this year was a 48. Notice the sloping top tube? Cannondale tended to measure center to top, and with a fairly long seat tube extension above the top tube, it might have measured 50cm. Its no longer around, otherwise I would go double check it.

Personally, on Cannondales, I prefer measuring seat tube center to center, as it is more comparable to other brands (most other vintage bikes do not have a seat tube that extends very far past the top tube).

FWIW: The pic below is of a 1997 model with brifters, in a very desirable extra small size. Sold it for less than the guy on ebay wants. Picture is at an angle, which somewhat distorts things.

Not only that, but a "bike shop" that cannot read. Every Cannondale frame of that era has the size (C-T) as the first 2 digits of the serial number (on the underside of the non-drive side chainstay)
