1977 Raleigh Grand Prix - worth $150?
May be looking at a Grand Prix in near mint condition today. Seller states frame is Rheynolds 531 tubing made in Nottingham. Bike has Raleigh brand components, except for brakes. Considering this as a rando conversion. Will offer less than asking, just unsure whether Raleigh bits would add any value or in fact reduce the value.

Grand Prix is the bottom of the line, no Reynolds 531. Go look at it, if it has Reynolds 531, it is a better bike and very probably worth it.

Thanks for the pointers. I thought the Raleigh group was a bad sign, though.

Raleigh, like other manufacturers, relabeled components made by others. I have had a couple of Raleighs with decent Suntour components. I am not a big fan of Raleigh myself (particularly the low end stuff), but lots of love for Raleighs on this forum for sure.
