Raleigh USA Competition 80's?
i found a bike just like this [ https://www.myfixedgear.net/raleigh-competition ] at auction tonight and i'm trying to get an idea of the value and quality of the bike. it matches the description with the shimano components etc. except it's missing the pedals and has a replacement trek seat. it's in excellent shape...no parking scratches...no corrosion anywhere. i'm guess it's mid 80s?
If it's worth 300+ i'll probably sell since i'm just looking for a beater right now.
thanks,
andy

It appears to be a 1986 model. Workmanship is good but not great. Value is hampered by it not being a full Reynolds frameset. It wouldn't bring $300 in my area.

I would say it is worth $300, but I am a newbie!! If it was my size, I would chunk out $300 in a heartbeat..
BTW, that bike is no beater, not by a long shot...
