His & Hers 1973 Schwinn World Travelers
I'm VERY new to biking. Me and my fiance are looking for some bikes to ride around town. I saw these bikes in awesome retro colors (yellow and teal) and Im wondering if these are bikes that would be worth the $175.00 (for both)
"These two bikes are completely original and in excellent shape. There are less than 80 miles on each and have always been garage kept. Original owner's manuals and catalogs are included."
What do you guys think? I was looking for newer bikes but I love the look of these bikes. Is it worth the money for a bike so old? Is a 10 speed just not worth it?

They are small size bikes going from the pic.

Like a really small (childrens) bike? I'm about 5'11 and my fiance is 5'8. Please excuse my complete lack of bicycle knowledge

The asking price is reasonable for those two bikes, depending on what they look like in person. The picture in the ad looks pretty good.

Thanks for the reply wrk101 -- I don't know why but I just love the old school look and colors of those bikes. I had already emailed him for the frame sizes but hadn't heard back yet. I'll continue looking. Are you by chance in the AVL area?
We are so new to the scene we are really unsure what we are looking for anyways. Since we haven't really ridden in years and years we are looking to start out on something affordable and work our way up if we enjoy it.

They look like nice bikes.
Visit a local bike shop, test ride some and have them figure out your size.
I bought my first road bike from CL for $15.
Rode it 1,000 miles. It was tall enough, but too short reaching to the handle bars.

Looks like the girls frame only came in 19", way too small for her. The men's came in 21" and 23".
Thanks so much for all the replies. I will keep looking! =)
