I tried searching for this but couldn't find anything past 912. Does a 10/12 even exist? Seller appears to be a flipper and is asking $175. I'm trying to get more information on the components. I was thinking closer to $100 since a lot of his other stuff seems overpriced.

"it has a sugino signature crank, shimano deraileurs and brakes, probably shimano hubs but I’m not sure."

Thanks! I'm guessing the buy doesn't know much about the bike since (A) he mislisted the year and (B) he thought it was 10/12 instead of 112. I'm thinking now that $100 would be the high end for price, but my market (Washington DC) is notorious for overpriced bikes. I could offer $80 and see what happens from there. Frame looks nice at least. What do you all think?

Given you are in a hot market, and given it has a triple butted cromoly frame, alloy rims, QR hubs, decent alloy crankset, I think it will probably sell in the $150 to $175 range. I wouldn't pay that for this bike, given the replacement fork, but someone probably will. Assuming he is a flipper, he probably won't consider a low ball offer (he should know exactly what he can get out of the bike, its not his first sale). $80 bikes in hot markets are usually really doggy, like an Xmart bike. While this is not something fantastic, it is decent (assuming frame is not damaged).

I was thinking he wouldn't take and $80 but might come back with $100-125. I could mention that it's not the original fork, but I don't know if he'd care. He seems like a disinterested seller (see his exact response above), even for a flipper.

Sounds like what I call a DKO flipper (dirt knocker off'er). We have a few of them around here as well. They tend to do nothing, just knock the dirt off, and sell them quick. If he has been doing it for long, he will know what he can get for the bike.

I bought four bikes from a DKO flipper in Charlotte last year. He really didn't know any details about the bikes, but had a good eye for value. He did not turn a wrench, but instead was just moving bikes, a lot of them. I figured he was finding bikes at swap meets, or whatever, cheap.

I remember one of his ads from C/L, he had three bikes on his rack, hanging off the back of his car. Really crappy pic, as found. But he was moving them fast.
