Bianchi Piaggio 57CM

Looks like late 80's, double-butted fork, shimano components all around with some nice engravings on the DT shifters and the the cranks. Not sure what material the bike is made out of.

Pictures! (Right-click 'view image' to see full-size pic)

it looks like an '83 Sport SS, with a DB Mangalloy frame and fork, with a Shimano 105 'Golden Arrow' group. nice looking bike, should be a nice rider.

It does have arrows on the DT shifters, cranks and rear derailleur. I recently overhauled all the hubs. What is it worth? and where could I find the original retail price?

Thanks so much

I'll look and see if my catalog has a price but I am guessing it was around $300. some of the other guys can tell you the value better than I, but lots of C&Vers like that gold arrow.

Value as it sits is not too much. It needs a thorough cleaning, some polishing compound to take care of most of those top tube scrapes, new cables, bar tape, saddle cover needs tobe tossed (if you are selling, if you like it as a keeper, ignore that), and so on. Fully rehabbed it will have good value, just depends on the finished product.

The cables weren't rusty so I didn't replace those, but I used turtle wax rubbing compound and it made it look GREAT. For the benefit of a used market record, with the ugly saddle and old bar tape, I still managed to sell it for $165.
