Is there a frame tubing sticker on the seat tube? Rear dropouts stamped or forged? Looks like some upgrades so it's hard to tell exactly what it is.

12 speed puts it in the 80's in my mind. Nice forged do's and vitus frame-clean/adjust and ride! From what I can see-I agree and approve up the upgraded comps and wheels. check the bb for serial number=sure would like to see that all cleaned up

A P.S. Vitus 181 debuted in 81 (3 tubes double butted) You can google 'Cycles retro peugeot' and search the models.

stamped on BB "031" these are some of the components it has, dia-compe gx 500 brakes, Sugino GLP cranset,SR SP-150 pedals, KHS seat, headset says Spidel stronglight, suntour cyclone rear derailleur(wich according to my "research"[lol] is from 1985 because of its squared off edge between the two adjustment screws),KHS seat.oh and the forks have a sticker "Tange Cr-mo steel fork blade"
thanks for the help guys! yea i started cleaning it,took it for a "real" ride yesterday and gotta say very happy and smooth!
