I found a Cannondale online and its seller claims its in great working condition with 105 RD, 105 brakes, and Ultegra hubs. He didn't mention about the rest of the components so I assumed they are stock standard..RSX shifters? Seller is asking for $270, is that a reasonable price?

If everything is in good shape it's reasonable if it's going to be a rider, no real flip potential though. I sold a similar bike for $300 last spring but I felt that was on the high end of the price range.

Not really planning to flip it, as the first option is to help my friend to find a bike that fits him. If $270 is high, what's consider to be the middle ground, $250?! Not sure if the seller would take it though.

Is the bike 7 or 8 speed? Most RSX brifters were 7 on the rear, although I've heard of an 8-speed version. If any of that stuff is original, I'd be guessing the bike was originally RSX (later replaced by Sora and Tiagra - but it's good quality stuff), and upgraded to the 105 and Ultegra.
All in all, sounds like a solid bike. If it actually looks like what the picture shows, the price isn't too far out of line.

I think its worth checking out. Everything else is upgraded maybe the brifters are too. I am no expert on brifters from that era, but they look like the Ultegra shifters on the 1997 Lemond I have sitting here next to me. Even if they are RSX and the bike is in ready to ride condition I think the price is pretty reasonable. I sold a lightly used 1997 R900 for $300 without the stock Look pedals a few months ago. The only way to find out more about the bike is to go check it out and it looks worth your time.

A bit pricey for an R200, but it's not stock anymore. Those brifters appear to be Ultegra. And given that the derailleurs are upgraded, and the wheels (Ultegra), if it's as clean and immaculate as the pic, 270 is acceptable. Offer less and find middle ground. Probably sell at 250.

They look like RSX. The higher end ones have more curvy levers/shift paddles, don't they? Anyways, RSX shifters are great. Bombproof and shift well.
$275 is a decent price.

The brifters are above Sora in quality. I have a set of Soras, and those pictured are nicer. To me, this price is reasonable. A pair of Sora brifters new would set you back most of the asking price.

Picked up the bike for my friend today and the bike is in like new condition. It's just unbelievable how well it kept under the previous owner. Bike has SPD pedals, 105 RD, brakes, Ultegra hubs, DA crank arms, and RSX 7spd shifters. Took a shot after we brought it back to our place. I suggested my friend to change out the saddle and the bar tape as those are the things that I normally would replace right away. Final price, $270.

Nice job! It sounds great. Now, just have your friend ride the tires off it.
