Raleigh Record men's road bike 1979
Hello.
i have a Raleigh bike that was given to me by a friend which i am trying to sell for them, i dont know much about bikes so its a little difficult for me to determine its specs for a proper pricing. so far i was able to gather up few information from the frame. its 22" frame it says S.R Apex on the gears and SunTour Spirt on the components. its is made in canada and its serial number is RH902XXX so according to a vintage raleigh website that means its from 1979. It has some rust stains on the frame due to bad storing but it's rideable. What do you think is a good price to sell it for. I'd post a picture but I have no clue how. So if you can help me with that it would be great too
Thank you kindly in advance.

To get any meaningful feedback, you will need to post pictures. Those same pictures will be needed to sell the bike.
Rust? Bad storing? It was a bottom end bike, so very little value.

Depends where you are located, around here, $25, $50 tops.

incazzare.
In NYC you could probably get around $150, if it's reasonably ready to ride.

Bikes: I never learned to ride a bike. It is my deepest shame.

They were kinda cheap bikes, but decent quality. I see many of those bikes around occasionally and it is not a particularly special or valuable bike. If it is in good condition, and has some rubber left on the tires, $50 - 100.
My brother has the one that belonged to our dad. The steel wheels tended to get dented or bent pretty easily and the brakes were worse than useless.
