1968 Schwinn Varsity w/ Campy Gran sport

I saw a craigslist ad for a rusty 68 schwinn varsity in pieces with some Campagnolo parts for $30. I got it and pieced most of it together, It's vintage to the max. The fork looks like knife blades and the lugs look of the time period. I don't know if there is any value here but it's pretty cool. I am having one small problem, the front derailleur clamp is too big for the tubing and there is no solution. Whats your opinion?

Rims - Rear: Schwinn. Front: Araya
Cranks - Huret one piece
Brakes/levers - Weinnman 500
Saddle - Lycett
Derailleurs - Campagnolo Gran sport
Shifters - Huret?
Bars/Stem - Made in England?
Pedals - Wald

I hereby dub that ... peculiar. And awesome!

There is no universe in which those parts came on that bike. Er, right?

The Varsities with the dt shifters are a bit rare, so that's something kind of cool If you want to use the front dr, you can surely find a way to shim it.

And 66 was the last year for dt shifters, I believe. Check the serial number.
