What's this frame!?
Pics to come once i get it back from the bike shop. Here's what I know from when I stripped it down to paint it. Fork says Tange 03. The ends of the fork are braised on though I don't know if they are forged. The serial number is located on the seat tube serial number S0(or O?)L5609. It had a head badge but it's been removed. It has three bosses on the downtube, two for the water bottle and one for the topshifter. The bottom bracket had braised on shimano cable guides. When I took off the crappy paint job the frame was two colors, teal and light yellow. One unique thing I've noticed about it is that it has no brake cable guide holes on the top tube. I've searched and searched and I haven't found any japanese road bike with similar info. Any info would be a big help. It seems like a pretty sweet frame though not Prestige or Infinity

Once you post pictures we might be able to help you, but it sounds like a pretty generic frame. With no badges or anything to go on, it could be virtually anything. Some of the guys on here are pretty good though, maybe they'll solve it.

Ok I got pics now and a little more information. I found another clue stamped on it after stripping the old paint it says bianchi on the front dropouts. It is slightly visible in the pictures. So does that make it a bianchi or did they make dropouts for other manufacturers? Also below is the topmount shifter mount. This is the only original part that came with the bike that would indicate what kind of groupset it came with. From what I can tell it looks like it could be suntour. I don't know I'm hoping you can help me.

Probably a Japanese made Bianchi. Assuming it is the original fork, the "aero" shift mount might help in placing a model, as to time, 80's Maybe 1983.

+1 Japanese Bianchi. Seat post size?? I am guessing that Tange date code is March 1980, but aero style shifter location is more like 1983.
