Austro Daimler SLE Puch
The last time I posted an ebay bike on here, I was told I should watch my local Craig's List where I might get a better deal. So I'm watching the Lexington KY and Louisville KY Craig's List, but I still have my ebay account automatically sending me info about bikes that fit my specs (54cm, w/in 200 mi of me, < $500).
So this Austro Daimler SLE Puch has just been re-listed. The reserve was not met on the previous auction. Can anyone tell me anything about this bike and what it might be worth?
Thanks,
Michael

Given the super high BIN price, and the pictures showing what looks like some rust and paint loss on the top tube, I would pass.
Items that get relisted on ebay are typically due to one of two reasons:
1. It is an unpopular item, so there just aren't that many buyers out there.
2. Seller has unrealistic (high) expectations of value.
Bicycles have plenty of interest, so this one is the latter. I would expect to see this bike posted multiple times until either the seller gets realistic on his price, or he hooks a fish.

The price does look high in that condition, maybe if it was pristine or close to it but not as is.

I agree, for that price be patient and something higher up the A-D/Puch food chain will come along.
