Help on dating my new (old) Schwinn Twinn Tandem
I found the number stamped on the left dropout, but then noticed this number did not correspond with any of those i found posted on another thread of all chicago schwinns. it is from the chicago plant, as the original decal on rear seat post shows, but the serial number seems to be #OC50005. i found that #CO50005 was made in 1960 (3/31), but i could not find any which started with an "O" . . . puzzled. any help would be appreciated.
by the way, it's royal (or sapphire) blue and a beauty, w/original everything, it appears. diggin' the big 26" whitewalls!

You are correct that it is unlikely the first character, which represents the month the frame was made, is an "O"...
Is it possible the first character could be "C" (March), "D" (April), or "G" (July)?
The second character, C, indicates 1967 as the year the frame was made.
Here's the catalog page for the 1967 Twinn. The color is "Sky Blue"...

Thanks Scooper
appreciate the help, Scooper. one thing is though, is that part of that first letter is obscured by the weld (partially hidden beneath) at the joint. but the part that is partially covered is the left side of what looks sure to be an "O". if it was a "C" or "G", the part i can see (right side of letter) would be open/have a break in the circle (as w/the C or G) but it's a closed circle. is what i'm saying making sense?
i'll try to take a picture and post here to show what i'm seeing. but from the catalog pic you linked to, that sky blue tandem looks exactly like mine.

If the left side of the letter is obscured, could it be a "D"?
