San Marco US Postal Saddle Replica...
Anyone care to venture a guess as to how much this NOS San Marco United States Postal Saddle Replica is worth? The saddle is new but has sat in a glass case for many years. The rails are titanium...

I dunno, but I think the saddle is attractive mostly to just people that have bikes to match them (US postal Service team replica bikes?). Otherwise, I think the PS logos on the saddle actually hurts it's value in the open market.
So, to find out how much it's worth, you have to find people looking for this specific saddle. What might be good is if the saddle was made in very limited numbers. Then, you have a captive group of customers who own PS replica bikes that will always be looking for them and you might have the leverage to name your price.

Well, even though I am not much into advertising for any corporation, I do like the saddle. It has been sitting in a display case, at a local shop, for years. Today I asked how much and I got a deal. I could not say no.
Thought I was over that part?

FWIW, I got one without the "replica" at a swap meet for 5 bucks. It was pretty worn, but functional.

I also don't understand the trend back then with the big stiched-on patches and logoes on the saddles I think they just made them look ugly. They were just extending sponsor ad square footage on the bike. Frankly I have a hard time liking them.
Not surprised to see a lot of similarly stiched/embroidered saddles populating clearance bins at my LBS's.
Give me a plain black or white leather covered saddle anytime instead......Perforated would be cooler, of course.....
