Dura Ace 7402/74XX Groupset Appraisal
I'm building my Colnago with Dura Ace 7402 and I've found a bike with the whole groupset I need, the seller doesn't want to part it out but says he would take an offer on the entire group. So far, my research indicates that it is somewhat overpriced at $1500 on a Davidson Impulse frameset but I'm having trouble coming up with a reasonable price for the group. The one I'm looking to buy has single pivots brakes and STI's instead of the 8-speed DT shifters in the 7402 group. The wheelset is 8-speed HyperGlide laced to Galli clinchers. Any estimates or need any more info?

I can't imagine paying $1500 for a donor bike. You are out of my league on that one.

I can't imagine that group being more than $500.

The group/bike seems to be in a pretty good condition based on the somewhat low quality photos. I'll try to post them later today.

I wont be buying the bike, I'm trying to get a price on the groupset to make the seller an offer...and I think the bike is overpriced to begin with.
bent-not-broken
Thats kind of what I had in mind...

With STI shifters, assuming everything works well, $500 would be a pretty decent deal (wheels, brakes, bb, headset, seat post, crankset, etc). Of course it depends on condition, and how complete. I see a lot of "complete" groups that do not include HS, seat post, etc. Finding all of those parts at one time is a nice bonus. Of course, used STI is always a bit of a crapshoot.
