Viking Bicycle

Hi,

I have another bike that I would love to learn more about and possibly what it is worth. Here are some pictures...http://imgur.com/a/R5er3 Any information about what components you many think it has or what it is worth would be extremely helpful.

Thanks!

Your Viking is flat out COOL ! I have had that brand on my radar for a little while, although no luck in finding one. Not sure on value, sorry.

Determining Vintage Bicycle Value on this Viking is, pretty much, impossible. When faced with this sort of situation, I decide what the bike is worth to me and then stick to my price. Though I have virtually no idea about value, I do know that I would want close to $2000.00 for such a nice piece.

I have one Viking myself, a 58cm size, as I recall. The bike is too big for me but I have not had the heart to sell it. It has been hanging in The Old Shed for many years.

Sorry I could not be more help with value, but that is the nature of the really rare vintage bicycle. I do wish you good luck with yours and wish, even more, that mine were a 54cm - 56cm frame set...

Your Viking is pretty interesting, it has a lot of good parts and the condition overall is pretty good too. The only thing that may possibly count against it is the small size of the frame.

North of $500 easily. $1000+ may be a different story because for $1000 and up there are lots of "better" bicycles one could buy and most people probably would want those instead of this. On the other hand there are people out there for whom a bike like this would be their holy grail, so it wouldn't be unreasonable I think. It just might take some time to find them since this isn't your normal high end 10 speed racing bike.

Generally, my experience has been that the small frames go for more money, than the average sized ones. That might not hold true for such a rare bicycle, though.

If that bike were a 23 1/2 or 24", I'd be making you an offer. My wife is from Wolverhampton, so I've wanted a Viking for a while. That Viking is about as cool as they come....
