What do I have here? Vintage Humber and Triumph
Hello,
I found eight vintage bicycles in my grandparents basement recently. Well, I've always known they were there and used to mess around with them when I was a kid, but now I realize that they might be worth something and am wondering what exactly we have here before I do anything with them. I want to fix one or two up and keep them for myself, not sell them, but I want to put the investment into the ones that are most worthy of the investment.
Below are pictures of just two of the eight. One is a Humber and the other is a Triumph. They look old, but i don't know how old. They are in decent shape, but need perhaps a new chain, tires and break pads, etc. Anyone know what they are worth?
Thanks in advance for any help anyone may be able to provide in identifying these bikes.

They're not terribly rare or valuable, maybe worth around $100 each as they sit, but the Humber has a badly bent fork and may not be safe to ride. If the Triumph was properly serviced and cleaned up it might bring $200 in a strong bike market, but I doubt it would be cost effective to get it to that stage.
What are the other bikes in the basement?

Thanks so much for the response, Chris. Like I said, I really know nothing about vintage bikes (I do know a little about mountain bikes, though), other than the research that I have done over the past couple days.
We also have:
-Men's Windsor (made in Mexico). It is maroon in color. From my research I think it may be a carrera sport, or at least in that line. Don't know the year or exact model.
-Men's Schwinn Speedster. Don't know the year
-Women's Ross, Blue in color
-Women's Columbia (this one may be the oldest). It is forest green.
I dont know anything about any of these bikes. I will get pictures of some of the others and post them soon to see if that will help anyone help me. But of those bikes above, any ones that may be most worth investing in fixing up. They are all in "decent" shape. Been in a basement, VERY LITTLE rust or anything like that.

The humber does have a bent fork, but since it is bent at the steerer tube, it may be repairable. But it's not useable as is. Either of these bikes in riding condition would be worth $100-$150 in a good market. Maybe $75-$120 in a slower market. The humber may be a parts bike if it cannot be fixed (the Brooks leather saddle should be worth something to somebody).
For the year check the three speed hub in back. It should have a date stamped on it (somewhere on the center). My guess is they are early 1970s bikes.
Feel free to post photos of the other bikes, they sound interesting too.
