Hello Kevin, welcome to Bike Forums!

We have a dedicated forum for Classic & Vintage bike value inquiries, I'm moving your post there (from Introductions).

"Hawthorne Bicycle" tells us nothing. What model is it? Is it a single speed, three speed? Cruiser? Or what?

From your vague description it could be worth anywhere between $25-$125, we'll need more details and preferably a picture to give any helpful estimate.
