68(?) Raleigh sports

A single speed, with coaster brake and 'chrome accents'. The ad doesn't say the model buy I am guessing it is a Sports - around 68. Seller asking 100. What you all think? With the brooks included I think its fair.

If the saddle is useable, then it's worth about $40-45 on its own. I'm a bit suspicious though that the bike may have originally been a 3 speed + coaster and they removed the shifter and cable. I would offer $75 but have $100 on me if they don't budge and I REALLY wanted the bike.

I figured that too - clearly seems to be a 3spd hub. Just relaying as described. rebuilding the old SA if its the original will be fun too. I'm not dying for this bike, it would make a cool grocery getter.

Not being a three speed hurts its value as a grocery getter. Check the brooks to make sure there are no tears in the leather next to the nose rivets.

On a positive note, it is a larger framed model.

+1 Larger frame, if you need it, is a real plus.

Please don't confuse ebay "asking" prices with "selling" prices. Many sellers never get their ask price. some are far from it. Value is determined once an item actually SELLS. Its easy enough to check SOLD prices.
