Eddy Merckx, approx 1985? Professional?
Hello.
I posted about this bike here: https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...ea-market-find!
I doubt I`ll sell it as long as I can ride it (too small for my son and BF) but still would like to know about the value of the bike. At the moment it is in the sittingroom next to the Brompton and something tells me it is going to stay there (use it as a trainer in the winter maybe).
Got it at a fleamarket as described. Can you suggest a value? Not many I have seen with the chromed fork, seat and chainstays so I can not really guess anything myself.
Thank you.

Looks like condition is pretty good, tier 2 gruppo...$1200ish USD seems about right for a good eBay ad. and sale. Deduct fees.

$500 to $700 USD. Nice find!
Stem looks extended beyond the limit - you might want to check....

Yes. Like I said in the original post, just played with the seatpost and stem. Need a taller stem to ride it. Just short rides around the block since I am not really a drop bar rider.

My guess is a mid-80's Professional, looks very similar to one of mine. Fully chromed seat and chainstays are unusual and would have been custom ordered. My guess is it doesn't have the Merckx logo on the seat stay caps- never seen one with fully chromed stays that did- but they all seem to have come with the chromed slope crown fork. Frames like that right now are indeed in the $500-600 range depending on condition of the chrome and paintwork. Rest of it, hard to say without better pictures.
