1988 Novara Trionfo RS

Can't really seem to find much info on this bike at all. 1988, 18 gears.

Anyone have an opinion on using this for touring? Or it's value? Listed for $150 obo.

Looks like a women's specific design similar to terry. A good deal, if this is what you are looking for. Downside is that you have to carry 2 sizes of tubes if you flat. If the front wheel is 24" instead of 650C, it might be more difficult to find replace tires/tubes.

It's a good deal at that price but it is NOT a touring bike in any sense of the word besides the triple crank. True touring bikes have mounts/clearance for fat tires, racks, and fenders. And cantilever brakes. This bike has none of those things.

It's also extremely small. Will it fit you? How tall are you?

I'm 5'3. It's an 18 in., the original rider said she's 5'1.

She also said she used it for multiple long tours, so I just assumed it was an old touring model.

People tour on all kinds of bikes. A couple of friends of mine rode coast to coast on hybrids. I've heard of people touring on single speeds.
