Odd French Bike - Appraisal?

https://collegestation.craigslist.org...227260577.html

I am wondering if this is a decent buy for an on college campus bike that will be used for about 2 years.
I was told to post this in this area instead! Thanks everyone.

Please don't confuse ebay "asking" prices with "selling" prices. Many sellers never get their ask price. some are far from it. Value is determined once an item actually SELLS. Its easy enough to check SOLD prices.

Looks pretty clean, but overpriced for a low end no-name bike. I'd pass.

This might be a better choice for a campus bike: https://collegestation.craigslist.org...198997150.html

That fork is wild, way too much rake. Cottered crank, strange mix of components, way overpriced.
