Two different questions here, what is it worth? and what can I get for it at a garage sale? You really cannot get what it is worth at a garage sale. Without pics, the Columbias I grew up with were bottom end, the bikes were sold at discount stores.
Garage sale? $25.
Garage sale? $25.

Please don't confuse ebay "asking" prices with "selling" prices. Many sellers never get their ask price. some are far from it. Value is determined once an item actually SELLS. Its easy enough to check SOLD prices.

Agree with others... they are really low end sub-division cruisers. If you need something for putzing around a sub at low speed, then $25 it is, but beware cost for new tires, cables, etc. The Schwinn equivalents from same era were quite a bit better, but still not what you could buy today on the 'net for $250 or so. The newer items are actually quite ridable in an around town sense. Stepping up for a real bike, you can regularly find a nice Santana on ebay for under a $1,000 or a decent Burley or whatnot.
