Red Bianchi road bike

I picked up a red bianchi today and I am wondering how much it would fetch. No rust, will replace cables, tape, tires and tubes. Everything looks like it will shine up very nicely once the dust and grime comes off...basically a garage queen with a flat tire. I live in a somewhat hot market for older bikes...Vancouver.

Mens 21"
Suntour arx front dérailleur
Suntour arx rear derailleur
Suzue hubs
ambrosio rims
Sakae cranks with 5r or sr written on it
Shimano caliper brakes
Shimano brake levers with brown plastic brake hoods
Suntour downstem shifters
SR handlebars/head stem
Hi magnesium OJI P.G. Steel
Serial ES428777

Any providence or other info would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Narhay Welcome to the forums. How much did you pay for it? depending on your location once you invest $50+ on parts and you time to fix it up you may not make much.

A pic would help with ID but it sounds like maybe a Sport SS from '84. depending on overall condition you might get $150 if it is in great shape and few nicks in the paint.

Sounds like a lower-end Bianchi. Post some pictures and we can give you a better idea what it's worth.

But he's also in Vancouver and it says "Bianchi" on it......that's worth an extra $75-100....

Cheers,

Joe

Paint looks excellent. Around here, that bike could bring $200. Even though I would never pay that much for it.

"Somewhat hot market"

Ha. That's an understatement. In Vancouver, I'd probably ask $300 for that bike. Most other areas 200-250.

You can buy a Raleigh or Apollo bike here, half rusted and two flat tires for $200, I am hoping this one fetches a bit more.

The subject bicycle appears to be a 1984 Bianchi Bici II, original price $350 CDN. The components are a good match. I'm assuming the tubing label states "Hi manganese" as opposed to "Hi magnesium"?
