Browning 3 speed
 

Here is number 2 its a made in Japan Browning as in the Gun mfg. Looks like its also mid 70's
its a 3 speed with some kind of transmission in the rear wheel hub.
I cant find anything on these on the internet. All it says is Browning and an I SN is C935833

Browning contracted manufacture of it's bicycle line to various sources. Given the apparent era, I would normally expect Japanese and the serial number format does match Miyata (1974) and Bridgestone (1969 or 1979). The wheel reflectors should put it post CPSC , however they do not match the style used by Miyata or Bridgestone during these years. Even more curious is 3 speed hub which appears to have a left side shift mechanism. I would have expected a Shimano hub with its distinctive, right side, bell crank mechanism. However, there is still the possibility that Browning spec'd some obscure IGH. If it is a Bridgestone and they spec'd the cast lugset, photos of the lugs will will readily confirm the origin. As it it, it looks like they could be, but the picture resolution is't quite good enough.

OK, those are definitely not the Bridgestrone diecast ligs, though that does not preclude it being Bridgestone manufacture, as they also used stamped lugs. Also, that's definitely a 3 spped Shimano hub. The reason for the left hand mechaism is because it also incorporates a coaster brake. Does, the coaster brake arm have lightening holes in it?

Hey T-MAr the coaster brake arm does have lightening holes and it also has a shimano stamp on it i have pics of the brake arm cant post them at the moment can post them later if you need or your thoughts without the pics either way thanks a bunch!

The presence of the lightening holes indcate the hub itself us no older than 1973. If you look closely at the hub shell, you may be able to find a date code, consisting of two letters, in approximately 1/8" font.
