Info on 2 different kinds of bikes needed
Someone gave me a couple bikes.
One is a Ross. The other is a Triumph. Both need a little work.
On both, how do you find out the model and year?
I'm wondering what they are worth.
I know it depends on the condition and year but that's what
Im trying to find out how to figure out.
Where do I find the serial number on these bikes?
Thanks for any info

The Triumph appears to be a boom era Raleigh product. As such there are numerous posisble serial number locations, including the bottom bracket shell, seat lug and back of the seat tube, below the seat lug. Ross used the left rear dropout and bottom bracket shell.

Still learning
I can's speak about the Triumph, but the ROSS is maybe $20 in that condition or less. Cheap one piece crank, low grade components, I'm guessing chrome wheels, and a gas pipe frame.

Year doesn't affect value on those bikes.

Hmm well thanks for the info. One never knows unless they ask. Not being a bike person and all.
so I'm seeing a price on the Triumph. I looked all over the bike for a serial but was unable to locate it.
I'm sure it's there but then again, if the year don't make a difference.... No need in looking for it. I was going to sell
them at a yard sale so just curious.
thanks again

+1 Planning to sell at a yard sale = $20 to $40 each. Air up the tires, and rotate those Ross bars down to a normal position, or it will be a $10 garage sale bike. Unfortunately, the bars will have to be taken off first, as they are backwards.
Around here, I would consider $40 to be top dollar for these bikes at a garage sale, but your market could be stronger.
