Lotus, Schwinn, and Motobecane.

I have somehow acquired several definitely vintage bikes.

1977? or so Motobecane Grand Touring bike, very nice condition.

1987 Lotus Challenger not as nice, but not too bad.

1981 Schwinn Sports Tourer

1970 or so Huffy Freestyle, a little rough, but sweet to ride. (My girlfriend brought this home, and already loves riding this bike.)

Is there any potential market for, or value in any of those beyond their value as being pretty nice bikes to ride? I hoard bikes, and give them away, and ride them and such, but I'd like to help subsidize next years purchase of a newer road bike, or a decent mountain bike, or maybe a recumbent. Thoughts?

Condition of frame paint, mechanicals, saddle, tires and your location all dictate value of a bike. With some clear photos of the chain or drive side of the bike, this crowd would be more than willing to share their opinions.

+1 Depends on condition, without pics, no idea. It also depends on your ability to market them. Most bikes sell for less than full market, it can be a lot of work getting "full" market for one.

Please don't confuse ebay "asking" prices with "selling" prices. Many sellers never get their ask price. some are far from it. Value is determined once an item actually SELLS. Its easy enough to check SOLD prices.

+3 on Needing some pics and condition. Yet none of these bikes are likely very valuable the Schwinn, Lotus and Huffy are likely $100-150 bike at best. The Moto is interesting it could have some value depending on model and condition.
