Vintage pedal appraisal
I have 2 set of vintage pedals that i would be interested in knowing the value of.The first set is shimano 105, its the triangular aero shape with three screw holes to mount the clip, i dont have the clips for them but they do have a set flat metal reflectors on the front, they have some scrathes along the bottom but they still mostly have paint on them and no rust. The second set is Avocet Model III Platform Pedals, they are in pretty fair shape small scratches hear and there and no rust, one has the stock metal clip that came with them and the other does not. I would greatly appreciate if you could tell me there value.

105 scratched and no clips? $5 to $10. I track them on ebay all the time. The clips are worth as much as the pedals, so without clips not much.
Here's a set with clips that went for $4 on ebay:

No clips, but nice condition, $5.50

One with NOS cages went for $11 (clips are worth more than that, so buyer got a nice deal).
From that era, the 600 and DA pedals do better.
Note, as a seller, by the time you pay all the fees on ebay, the net will be much lower.

I would say only $5-10 a set for either of these pedal sets. Even really nice vintage sets from this era often go for under $20 on Ebay.

Yeah, the 105's from this era get no love.
T-bill is 100% right about the 600 & DA pedals.

Often resale of pedals do not justify the time, especially for online sales. To bring any resonable return, they have to be highly desirable, such as Campagnolo Record, SL or SR, and in very good condition. The only entry level and mid range pedals that sell well are metric threaded pedals to replace all the worn out pairs on boom era French bicycles.
