Bridgestone Frame ID, need opinions

Hey all,

I am looking to built up this Bridgestone frame. Is this frame an RB-1/2? (EDIT: this bike is a "400", which I know nothing about.) Is it worth the price?

The seller says the serial number is: j417159. According to Rivendell, that means it's built August-December of 1994, which is the last year Bridgestone exported bikes to the US.

Original Listing with multiple images here:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/160987060900

Also have a question: in the second picture, is that a dent/impact area or what?

The auction says it is a 400, the pictures say the same, why are you thinking it is an RB-1 or RB-2?

Seems in nice condition but it is a mid level frame. For what it will cost including shipping, you can find an equivalent complete bike locally. Maybe even a Bridgestone 400 if you are patient. But the Bridegstone cult value doesn't extend past the RBs, as far as road bikes go.

You're off by almost a decade. That's a 1985 Bridgestone 400. It's a triple butted CrMo main triangle with hi-tensile stays and forks, so basically it's upper entry level for the era. That BIN is a very steep price for a frame of this level, even that small size. The complete bicycle had a sub $300 US MSRP.

Based on the picture you can't tell if it is a dent but the seller claims there are no dents or dings, only touch-ups. You're just going to have to take him at his word or pass.
