Price for Alan frame bike branded by Holdsworth

Price for Alan frame bike branded by Holdsworth
I have an old road bike from the 70s that I have been told could be worth some money, to is a blue aluminium framed bike, the frame is from Alan and it is branded as a holdsworth bike, I have not seen any other bikes like this after searching, is it a rare bike? And does anyone know how much it could be worth?

Do you have pics of the bike? They are a must.
It would be odd to have an Alan, which is Italian, branded for Holdsworth, which is English. Could be, but I'm thinking it's not very common. I've actually never heard of an aluminum Holdsworth. And speaking of aluminum, in general, they are not worth as much as a good steel frame bike....

It almost seemed like Alan and Vitus had a competition back then on who can sell the most bikes to other companies. These other companies must have been just desperate to get in the Aluminum and CF bike market back then, as soon as possible, and just left the engineering to the two companies to figure out....

Not entirely impossible as even companies like Nishiki re-branded Alan Carbonios to sell as their own.

Perhaps Ben did not get enough reaction to the first thread so he restated it a bit differently the second time.
You are correct, both Alan and Vitus were selling rebranded frames to many. My only conjecture is it provided some shops access to the product where they were not authorized sellers of the original mfgs.
