Legnano = 60s 70s 80? Ay.

I stumbled across this bike and am going to see it tomorrow to buy. Always keen to learn the history of any given vintage bike, I started researching Legnano and this bike in general. After a few hours I've become quite confused as to what decade this bike comes from - the head badge seems to be from the 60s, the white with a black border typography of the "Legnano" stickers seem to be from the 70s, and its celeste, rather than blue, tint from the 80s. To be honest, it's more a question of: am I being bamboozled for a sale price of approx. $285 USD for this bike? In Argentina, quality vintage bikes are scarce and becoming scarcer due to strict import regulations so I'd love make sure I'm not buying one bike but actually getting another.

It does not have the traditional and desirable seat post bolt location, ahead of the seat tube and below the top tube. It has the more modern graphics but they are incomplete. It appears as though somebody found a old Legnano head badge and riveted it in place. The frame itself looks boom era, so it may well be a repaint with post boom decals. I see what appears to be stamped dropouts, so is it probably an entry level, hi-tensile frameset. I don't have appreciastion of C&V prices in Argentina but I would not pay that in an average North American market.

T-Mar said what needs to be said about that "so called" Legnano. Like, T_Mar, I do not think it is a Legnano, either. At best, the bicycle is entry level.
