Help/Started a Restore on a Frejus Super Corsa Frame
Hi All
I have not been on for a while because I was trying to obtain a Frejus Super Corsa Frame. I have begun collecting the Frejus Line of their Bicycles. I have posted pictures of the last two I have bought. Now I need help with the restore project I am about to begin with the Frejus frame I just bought. It's a 55 cm frame.
I would appreciate if anyone here in our forum can tell me what were the original parts on the Frejus Super Corsa. I know that on my 1960 Frejus Super Corsa I had nuevo record campy parts, but have no idea as to specs on what to purchase to rebuild this frame. It needs everything except the free wheel. I know some parts are going to be expensive unless I get lucky, but can you please include the part and how much I will be looking to pay for it, what's are over priced parts. Thanks you all for any help on this post... I will post pictures as I progress with the restore of this Frejus Frame. Here are some pictures... Thanks and God bless,
Philo_NY

Hello. I suspect your Frejus is later than 1960. What is the serial number?
If it is a 1960 Frejus Super Corsa, it would have been setup with a Campagnolo Record drivetrain (maybe a Magistroni crank, but I doubt it), Record hubs laced to Ambrosio tubular rims. Bars and stem would have been Ambrosio Champion. Balilla brakes and levers. And the seat could have been Record, Italia or Brooks, depending where it was purchased.

Send me an email, if you wish. I have most of the period correct items that you would need for the bicycle.

my name is Jim
I doubt that is a 1960 frame. Brazed on cable guides on the bottom bracket and brazed on cable stop for the rear derailleur would have been very unusual for a bike that early. If it is a 1960 frame then Campagnolo Gran Sport front and rear derailleurs would be correct (Record rear derailleur did not appear until 1963).

Hi iab
Just saw your quote here at Vintage.... My screen name has to do with the decade I had my Frejus and not necessarily the year the was made. The Champagne and Red scheme Frejus in my avatar is from 70 or 71. The White and Red Super Corsa is believed to be 69-70. I'm starting to remember all the components I had on my 1969 Super Corsa, and already obtaining those parts for the restore. thanks for all your help.

69-70 also would likely have a nuovo record group, even possibly the brakes. But those no-logo campy brakes are insanely expensive. You certainly can put on a Universal 68 brakeset. Bars and stem would have been Cinelli.
