1986 Miyata 610
Hello,
I would like to find a home for my '86 Miyata 610. I purchased the bike new and rode it till the late nineties when back problems prevented me from bicycling. This spring I have rediscovered how much fun it to get back on the bike and have put about 300 miles on the Miyata. But with my back history I decided to purchase a carbon bike to smooth out the bumps a bit better. Which leaves me with Miyata which is in very good shape that will not get used. As I said I purchased the bike new in '86 it is all original with excellent paint, 18 speeds, bio-pace front sprockets, cantilever brakes. The bike was tuned up just before my back went south and works fine. I am wondering what would be a fair price to ask in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area?

You have a fairly small frame which can capture a pricing premium.
A new ebay seller concentrating on bikes recently sold a 50cm 610 on ebay at $499 + $70 for shipping, but bigger 610's have sold for much less on ebay.

Assuming your 610 is similar condition and components as above, a local sale on craigslist would in most cases yield less, so perhaps list it at $450 and drop the price $25-$50 every two weeks.
Good luck.
