Value of Holdsworth Special
Hi there,
I'm planning on going to look this Holdsworth Special (several good quality pics here - https://boston.craigslist.org/nwb/bik/3944875360.html) and was wondering if folks thought $350 was a reasonable price. The ad also includes description of most components. The year isn't posted, but looking at some old catalogs it looks like it might be early 80s? From what I've read the late 70s/early 80s are at the lower end of the quality spectrum for Holdsworth, but that they are still quite good rides. The frame has some rust for sure, take a look at the pics. I don't mind that as much as long as it's not structural/limiting function.
I know next to nothing about these bikes, so any help is much appreciated. I must say that the overall look is very appealing to me, and I'd love to find a vintage ride that I could ride to work and around Boston/Cambridge, but also start to do some longer rides.
Thanks for your help!

Nice looking Holdsworth. I think this is one of those sleeper brands, great quality but little known name. The seller has some interesting stuff.

Good news, it's still available and I'm going to check it out this weekend!
Apart from checking the seat post and the stem movement, any other particulars I should be on the lookout for on this bike? I'm new to evaluating bicycles. If there's another place on this board I should look for that info, would you mind pointing me in that direction?
Thanks! I'll keep you posted.
