1984 Centurion comp ta
I found a centurion comp ta, in my size. It seems nice but it has those funky suicide brakes. the seller said it is full shimano 600, including the sweet arabesque chainrings. he is asking 200, but i think he is willing to go lower.

If you haven't bought it already, it is probably gone. Light, responsive, nifty paint. Levers are cheap to switch.

I say, go lower and grab it.. You can get some 105 levers/hoods fairly cheap. In fact, a lot of BF members might have some laying around, including me, just for shipping cost.. You size too... If the price is low enough, that will take of parts you need to put on, such as tires, levers, etc...
Luck to you...

I got it for 100. The shifters are prett resistant, but I'm not sure if that's just how friction shifters are. Also, the brake levera were dia compe, not shimano 600 he also gave me a bag and a sora brake caliper

yeah haha, we tried to get it for $75 but he wanted to 100 so we asked "is there anything else you can give us with it if we pay $100?" so he gave us the bag. he also had some cheap bottle cages which i did not need
Friction shifters are pretty hard to use, it was my first time today. The stem's bolt is jammed in so im gonna have to figure a way to take that out. wheels are slightly out of true but thats a pretty easy fix and i will probably clean and regrease everything. i put some cheap wal mart pedals onto it
i'm quite interested in the shimano 105 brake levers, because the levers on this bike kind of suck and they have no hoods.

Congrats on the bike..
I may have some levers around here, but finding them depends on me cleaning up my bike room to find things. I have been cleaning up for the last two months.. I am sure either I or somebody will pony you some 105 levers.. We will see what we can do.. In the mean time clean her up and ride it...

I need to adjust the derailler as well. on the lowest gear, the chain keeps coming off of the little plastic cog thing on the derailer (no idea what its called)

You got a great deal on a high performance bike. So ride it like you stole it!
Here's mine for reference, I only replaced the cables, greased the bearings, and put wider rubber 28mm.

Big picture so we can see it real good. I think the addiction has already bit you..
I am no mechanic by a long shot. However, I have run into that stuck stem bit before. My buddy unstuck one of my bike stems, and I did the other.. You take a piece of wood, put it over the stem, and give it a couple light wacks, with something. That should do it for the stem..
BTW, the 105 levers and hoods, and I almost sure come all together and most of them are aero.. The hoods/levers you have now are non-aero..
