Bianchi Alloro Nuovo - What year?

Not really looking for a value, as the frame needs restoration, and "its worth what I paid for it" I totally get.

However, I'm looking for more general information. Whats the approximate vintage of the frame? When it was bought new would it have been considered a mid range bike, etc.

Here's a gallery with a few photos. If there is any specific area that would give better information, let me know and I'll take more/better photos.

Thanks!

The subject frame is a 1987 Nuovo Alloro. These were Campagnolo Victory equipped and were considered a mid-range model, 6th in Bianchi's line of road bicycles. Original price would have been about $700 US.

Thanks! That all lines up with my own guesswork.

Even though it has a "date" stuck on it, I didn't want to make any assumptions.

What date stuck on it? What makes it easy is '87 was the only year with a script font for the model names.

The "Colorado Springs" decal that says 86-87. Logic would suggest that the oldest it could be would be '87.

But thats guesswork, which is why I came here.
