Trek 1984 420 worth?
Got a line on this bike, wonder what you all think should be offered for it. It's apparently in original shape, has all the components except needs a derailleur cable and service.

Here's a bad picture btw, have no clue what these are worth on the craigslist market, ebay being not terribly useful for that I assume:
[h=2]TREK 420 Road bike 24 inch frame[/h]
18 speed Shimano Deore XT rear Derailer. dark Blue, New tires, Needs rear Derailer cable.

I got the bike, $80, and it appears to be a Japanese made early eighties model, 27-inch wheels, front der. is Simplex, 9-digit serial number. It's a 24-inch size, with obvious touch-up paint in various places, Magnalloy 2001 double-butted main tube'ed frame.
Unfortunately, it has the Maillard Helicomatic rear hub, 6-speed. Yuck...didn't want to have to deal with another one of those. I'm assuming that the Waterford, WI sticker simply means that the bike was "assembled" in the US, not fabricated in the US.
So, what is it worth, bare frame/fork/HS ?
