Small Schwinn Caliente?

Tying to get an idea for a good price for small Schwinn Caliente found on CL as seen here: https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/bik/4138872251.html

140 seems high. Can't find much reliable information about Caliente's with these types of decals.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

That looks like a '91 Caliente: https://bikecatalogs.org/SCHWINN/1991..._Caliente.html

That was Schwinn's bottom of the line bike at the time, they don't even bother to list the specifications on the spec. page in the catalog. I'm not sure where I'd put the value, those were "Schwinn" by name only.

Oooohhhhh, I recommend finding something else. It is as Metacortex says, a low end Schwinn. Heavy and very unfun to ride. KEEP LOOKING!

I'd like to see what an 1885 Peugeot P6 looks like though!!!

I am going to go a little in the other direction on this based on the size. While the Caliente is not a a high end bike, if you need something small to fit you, and if it really has been completely rebuilt as the ad states, it might not be a bad way to go.

I had one of those once, with a nicer alloy crank set, that made a short stature friend very happy.

Why oh why does it have to be a Caliente, why can't it be a Paramount? https://www.ebay.com/itm/200980427503

Less than 10% of the bicycle for sale listings are priced right in the Detroit metro Craigslist. Virtually 90% of the listings need a tune up/overhaul. Why would you expect any different in ebay bike listings from the same region?
