Italian Cambio Rino 'Competizione' Track Bike

Hi all, first post, thank you in advance.
I'm considering buying an old Cambio track bike.
From what I understand, some Cambio's were made in Italy and others in Toronto.
Any idea which this is? Any idea of the value or collect ability?
He's asking 600, plus another 100 in shipping/LBS boxing.

Is this a fair price? Worth the trouble? Thanks!

Selling a vintage Italian Cambio Rino 'Competizione' track bike. Frame size is 61 cm and is made with Columbus Acciaio Speciale tubing. Bottom bracket has just been serviced; this track bike is ready to ride!

Comes with Cambio Rino pedals, seat post, and fork. Crankset, headset, and bottom bracket are Gipiemme. Stem and handle bars are made in Italy too. Vintage Brooks Professional saddle and leather toe straps are in good condition and well broken in. Tires are Specialized slicks and rims are Velocity Deep V Halo (with a flip flop hub). Pricey - Worth it only if you want it for a rider/keeper. Frame is pretty large, which keeps the value down a bit. Hubs look like Formulas. For the asking price, it should have all Campy or DuraAce.

That is about the steepest head tube I've ever seen I'd bet its an extremely twitchy rider. Looks bigger than 62, but that may be due to the steep head tube angle. The component don't justify the price to me, I think more 300-400, but of course thats so market driven.

No way that's a 61cm frame. Looks like at least 64cm to me.

Velocity Deep-V wheelset? Pass. You're basically buying a frameset, crankset, and the Brooks saddle. I would be wondering where the original tubulars are, especially at that price.

I'd tend to disagree; I'd offer about 500. I have a large Serotta trackie in this size and have gotten close to twenty unsolicted offers on it in the last two years. Not that easy to find them. My other bikes, zero offers (well, one for the Bonanno). It's not easy to find old classic trackies in any size; I don't think there's as much of a markdown as there are on similarly sized road bikes. Due to the higher bottom bracket on trackies and the more agressive geo; the big track bikes tend to look really, really big, so I can see this as a 61, though I'd measure it my own bad self. I agree that's one steep head tube and the bike is likely twitchy but high manuverable.

Beautiful bike! I actually did an internship at Serotta a few summers ago, they were from my home town in upstate new york. Sadly bought out and basically no more as far as we can tell. I decided to pass for the reasons given above but also due to the trouble of shipping/customs and such. Enjoy that beauty and take good care!

Hello,
If it was made in Italy it would have the sticker just above the B.B. or at the top of the seat tube.

+ The modern Deep-V wheelset doesn't really go well with the. At this price I would expect the original tubulars or a set of track wheels and not Deep-V's.
