1987 Binachi Trofero - almost entirely original

So the CL listing is here: http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/bik/4297060968.html

And I've managed to ID it using the velobase Bianchi catalog scan here (pdf download link)

And based on those specs + the pics, it seems to be an almost original Trofero (the clips are hideous, but wevz).

If someone in the PDX area sees this and wants to snag it, be my guest, I'm actually probably mostly interested in the Campy SR front & rear derailleurs to swap on my 86 Allez (Nuovo Record derailleurs = :notamused:), and a 56cm is a stretch for me.

But I'm more wondering... is $300 too much? 1980's Super Record + Modolo calipers + Columbus tubeset (probably cromor-esque, according to this thread), and doesn't look too thrashed. Decent? I know it's not a steal but still... seems reasonable. Thoughts?

In that market, I'd think it will go quickly at that price.

IN PORTLAND... Seems like a steel (not a typo) I would think you could buy it, strip the parts you want, replace them with anything (although shimano 6 spd comes to mind) and still make a profit. I don't know the market in Portland so I could be off but not by much

I'd be curious about the "gears are a bit worn comment" Could mean anything from nothing to new chain, chainrings and cogs are needed.

Gone. And it was up for a few days too. I had a feeling the minute I got serious about it... *poof*

You, sir, are a much more observant genius. Didn't have it in my web cache (clicking on the link after it expired reset the cached objects), but some Google-Fu (site:portland.craigslist.org campione) brought it up! Called him, and apparently he's listed it a few times with no calls. Gonna go check it out, fingers crossed...

"Will we ever see Thumpic again Grandpa?"

"When we need him, he'll be back"
