I think it is Japanese made Bianchi, below are the only pics I have - curious what model is it (to help you narrow it down a bit - it was bought in mid 80s according to seller) and what group is on it (I know it is hard to tell from these pics but even rough guess will do). I looked through several catalogues of the era but did not see anything similar.
It was sold in Canada.

That is not much to go on. Your bikes are slightly different from ours but I think that might be a '83ish Classica or maybe a Special. Without more information on the tubing type and the components it is impossible to tell.

Thank you! Tubing (from what I can make out from the pic and wording in ad) is Ishiwata Magny but not clear which one. I did not contact the seller yet as asking price is 425 which is too much in my opinion. Bike (if purchased) will be for a friend of mine and I was thinking 200-250 would be more fair price (refurbish will only cost him parts - cables, bearing balls, etc).
I was thinking Special as well.

Keep looking, this is a very un-special bike for that price, the seller is hoping to cash in on the Bianchi name.

That's what I figured. My friend liked it so I figured I ask here to make sure I am on the right path. Also did not want to contact seller before I was sure it is what I thought it is and make a fool out of myself. If my buddy still wants it - I'll let him get in touch with seller and will help him to check it out. I told him I would pass for that price - quick local search shows nice black Bianchi with full 105, some sort of Columbus, Italian made for $400 asking.

Its definitely not a top of the line bike but Ishiwata tubing is not a bad indiciation of a relatively decent bike that could be used for shredding around in the rain. Its got all alloy stuff on it too so that beats any junker with steel wheels in my view. From the pics it also appears to be in pretty good condition for a mid 80's run of the mill still bike. In Vancouver people are selling bikes like this for about $350. It may be a little over priced at that but if you can talk the guy down then why not give it a try.

If I was buying a rider I would try and talk the guy down (within reason as Toronto market is as crazy if not more as Vancouver). But it was my friend who was looking and he decided to pass for now. I see almost identical Bianchi on our Kijiji right now for $220 (it is in rougher condition but nothing bad and original posting was for ~250-275) and it still sits.

Kijiji is more popular from what I see, CL became less and less popular in the past years. I am guessing younger generations are drawn to Kijiji (more mtb, modern bikes, bmx, etc) vs craigslist (more old school, more vintage). Lots of ads are duplicated

There is one dude on Toronto Craigslist who has a mountain of awesome vintage bikes that he sells a quite a premium. His ads are identifiable by the toilet that he always sits the bikes on for his pics. Very modern looking toilet...

Cam is the seller. You have to watch his ads - quite often very fair prices on nice bikes and components.
