Chrome Paramount

It makes me a little weak in the knees just seeing it in what appears to be my size. What do you all think? I am having trouble being objective.

If you have to ask, it's probably already gone. Run, don't walk. Conservative value on eBay - clear $1400.

Buy it. It is in my size too - or fricking close enough for a chrome Paramount, so if you don't like it, I'll take it!

I did edit the post as advised although I had already emailed and called the gentleman before posting here. I will certainly post pics if I am lucky enough to score this amazing ride. I will say it is not looking great as I have not heard back from the seller, but I am an eternal optimist and hoping for the best.

It's gorgeous and easily worth $1500.

I'm confused about what it is, though. Being real picky about it is like looking a gift horse in the mouth, but if it really is a 1972 bike a P13-9 road racer would have 3 Campy top tube brake cable clamps rather than the braze-ons, and a P10-9 tourer would have had the TT braze-ons but also fender eyelets.

I'm thinking it's an earlier P13-9 which would have had the TT rear brake cable braze-ons and no eyelets (just like the bike pictured in the ad).

It's too bad the seller didn't mention the size (looks like 23") or the serial number.

Whatever it is, it's worth about three times the asking price.

Sorry to hear that. I was too late on a beautiful Red Paramount listed for $100 that just said "Old Schwinn 10 Speed" in the title. I must have left 20 emails before I was contacted that it sold to the first guy that responded. It`s all luck.
