Vintage Trek 1100 Advice
Okay guys, I'm new here so help me out. I came across this listing on Craigslist and I'm wondering if this is a good deal and whether this is a good bike... Thanks for the help! (Vintage Trek Road Bike **Mint Condition**)

Every market is different but here's my experience:
-Purchased a mint 90 Trek 1420 for $100 in NH.
-Sold the same 90 Trek 1420 for $300 in Boston.
It's a good bike but I think it's overpriced.

Hey, it looks to be in perfect cosmetic condition. What else will $300 get you? I sold a 1989 Trek 1200 for $350 last month.

Okay, I'm emailing him. (or her) Can you give me an idea where on the trek lineup this was when it was made? I mean, was it entry level? Was it top of the line?

This is out of the ordinary but I jumped on a CL add for a Pinarello for $300 and ended up paying $150. Paint was really bad but the parts value on ebay was over $300 alone without the frame. Go in person and if you would be happy with a deal at $250, offer him $240 and come up.
