Hey there, I'm new to the whole road bike thing and I really want to get into it. I've been biking to work on my mountain bike lately, but I'm being blown away by people on road bikes. I'm also finding it very exhausting... Which is why i'm looking for something faster and more lightweight. The only problem is that I'm on a low budget, being a student and all. Are any of these bikes worth getting?

Junk, junk and more junk...

Also...no offense intended...but...is it the MTB or the engine that mounts on the MTB? Being exhausted means that you worked hard...and makes your fitness go up. If you have a decent MTB...and are running it with off road tires (as wrk101 suggests), put on some road tires...that will help...and then...ride, ride, ride...as you ride more, less of those road bikes will "blow you away"...and...oh, BTW, who CARES if they blow you away...
