Unknown Bike (I think)?

This bike has been up on craigslist by me for a few days now. I am mostly interested because I grew up near Passaic, NJ and think it would be cool to own a bike that was made there. But, based on the pictures and very unsuccessful google searches, I'm thinking National Sports Wheels is actually the bike store where it was bought, not the actual bike. Can anyone tell what this bike is? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
